Kaun Banega Crorepati is an Indian show in Hindi. It is the remake of the Hindi show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The host of the show is Amitabh Bachchan, who is a famous Indian actor. Amitabh Bachchan has hosted the show from its first season till the current one.
Shahrukh Khan has hosted the show only in season 3. Star Plus aired the show from 2000 to 2007. Sameer Nair commissioned the first three seasons. The show shifted from Star Plus to Sony TV in 2010.

This season of KBC was announced by Sony Entertainment Television on 16 April 2024. Registration for this show started on 26 April, and the season premiered on 12 August. Makers have introduced a new segment known as Super Sawaal.

KBC 16 got its first crorepati, who was 22- years -old. His name is Chander Parkash.

The owner of the show shared the celebration of Chander Parkash’s victory with fans. During the show, Chander Parkash was asked a challenging question by Amitabh Bachan. The question was for Rs 1 crore and from geography: “The largest city in which country is not its capital but a port with an Arabic name meaning ‘abode of peace?
The options are,
A) Somalia, B) Oman, C) Tanzania, D) Brunei.”
This show proceeds step-wise. Contestants have to answer many different questions. After crossing the first step of Rs. They ask a second question without giving an option for 10,000. When the contestant answers it correctly, they activate a power-up button called ‘Dugnaastra’.
Contestants can use Dugnaastra only once during questions 6 and 10. To use it, contestants press the buzzer before the options are shown. Once they activate the power-up, contestants can win a bonus equal to the prize amount by giving the correct answer.
There is also a twist of Hotseat in this season. They introduce a challenge called India Challengers Week, in which they ask questions. Contestants who will give the right answer win the game.
